Ouran High School Host Club

Tamaki thought up the Host Club while in ninth grade and started it upon entering the Ouran High School. The members of the Host Club are highest ranking students at the school. At Ouran High School, class is determined by lineage and intelligence ("A" is the highest class and "D" the lowest; usually consisting of the kids of Yakuza leaders). All the members are in class A and tend to be number one or two in their class, coming from the wealthiest families in Japan with the exception of Haruhi. The twins are ranked fourth and fifth in their class and Haruhi is a scholarship student receiving the special privilege of being in class A due to her scholarship status (she is ranked number one in her year).

Customers have the freedom to choose which host will entertain them, playing to their specific needs and interests. Each member of the host club is a specific shōjo "type" designed to suit the varying tastes of female clients (Cool Type, Wild Type/Strong and Silent Type, Loli-shōta Type, Prince Type, Little Devil Type, Natural Type). The twins, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, and cousins, Takashi Morinozuka ("Mori") and Mitsukuni Haninozuka ("Honey"), showcase their respective close relationships to please or entertain customers. Haruhi Fujioka, who used to be the Host Club's dog in order to pay her debt of 8,000,000 yen, entertains her guests with her naturalness and humbleness. Tamaki Suou is president and leader of the club, while Kyouya Ootori as vice president manages all the events for the club. The Third Music Room has been outfitted by the Club to accommodate their business and, at times, is elaborately decorated according to a specific theme, ranging from a tropical paradise to a traditional picnic, to heighten the customers' pleasure and keep things interesting.

Fruits Basket -- Kyo Sohma

O Gato. Odeia Yuki. A primeira vista, parece um sujeito insensível, grosso e sem o menor tato com os outros, mas no fundo é uma ótima pessoa. Seu signo não pertence ao Horóscopo Chinês, e toda a família vê o signo do Gato como um signo desgraçado e maldito. Então Kyo sempre foi tratado com inferioridade e desprezo. Sua mãe morreu enquanto ele ainda era pequeno e muitos afirmam que ela se matou por causa do filho (aliais, alguns adoram jogar isso na cara dele). Após isso, seu pai o abandonou e ele foi adotado por Kazuma (o neto do antigo possuído pelo gato), que lhe ensinou artes marciais. Kyo joga toda a culpa de sua desgraça em Yuki, e acredita que vencendo ele em uma luta poderá ingressar no Juunishii (e, consequentemente, ser respeitado). É o único dos 13 que possui 3 formas: a humana, o do gato e a Verdadeira imagem do gato (ou a imagem “vingativa” do gato). Nutre um sentimento especial por Tohru, mas se acha indigno disso. Kyo se sente culpado em relação a morte de Kyoko.

Fruits Basket - Tohru Honda

Protagonista. A principio tem 15 anos e mais tarde tem 17 (a história se passa durante todo o período do colegial), tem a mesma idade que Yuki e Kyo e estuda na mesma sala que eles. Seu pai morreu quando ela tinha 3 anos e sua mãe morreu pouco tempo depois dela entrar no colegial. Sua mãe, Kyoko, era uma ex-delinquente juvenil e tentava passar toda a sua experiência de vida pra filha através de conselhos. Tohru carrega fotos da mãe, e vez ou outra se lembra de seus conselhos. Morava com seu avô, depois em uma barraca até ser convidada a morar com os Sohmas, onde realiza tarefas domesticas em troca da hospedagem. Seu animal favorito no horoscopo chinês é gato. É muito animada, decidida e bem inocente. Esta sempre pronta para ajudar os outros, mas tem mania de nunca pensar em si mesma e odeia a ideia de incomodar alguém. Com o tempo apaixona-se por Kyo, e no começo reluta em aceitar em sentimento.

Fruits Basket -- Yuki Sohma

He is depicted as a popular high school student despite severe self-doubts, and is president of the student council. He is sometimes called "Prince Yuki" by his fans. When Yuki is hugged by the opposite gender or if his body is under a great deal of stress, he transforms into the rat of the Chinese zodiac. According to the anime, when he turns into the same animal, he's revealed to have light gray fur.
